Puspa Agro is a modern wholesale market in East Java Proponsi. Located at Jalan Sawunggalih No. 177-183, Taman, Sidoarjo, East Java. Puspa Agro inaugurated on July 17, 2010 by the Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa. Modern Market Area is 50 Ha Puspa Agro include parking areas, buildings auctions, warehouses, cold storage, laboratory, and agro-tourism facilities. Puspa Agro in the design concept as a means of commerce, recreation and education.

Modern Market Puspa Agro is the only modern market in East Java. This market not only as a meeting place for sellers and buyers only, this market concept in such a way by various means and facilities for the purpose as a means of recreation and education as well. This is evidenced by the existence of Agrotourism in these markets, farmers’ training facility and laboratory testing.

Mount Bromo

Great Mosque of Demak

Demak Great Mosque is one of the Muslim religion tourism in Central Java. Location of the Great Mosque of Demak in the Village Kauman, Demak Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Demak Great Mosque is the oldest mosque in Indonesia, which was founded in 1401, founded by Walisanga (Nine Wali), which is the spread of Islamic religion in Java.

Owabong Water Park

Overview

The New Era of Water Park

Pandawa Water World is one of the newest yet favorite tourism site to visit in Surakarta (Solo), Central Java. The site had it’s soft opening on the 18th of December 2008. It is located just about 1 kilometers south from downtown Solo. The water park is the only one in the city and is the largest in Central Java and Yogyakarta. The cost of constructing the site is no less than 50 billion rupiah (around $5.3 million). Due to future renovation plans, the cost will rise up, at least doubling the initiating value.

This wonderful site doesn’t just provide an ordinary swimming pool, it has many water slides and adventurous ones to contribute new swimming experience for its visitors. Entering the site, visitors will directly witness the world of Wayang in giant sizes. Corresponding to the name of the site, The Pandawa Lima (Five Pandawa) Statues are built to embeklish the sight of its visitors. The Five Pandawa are princes in the epic story of Mahabharata. The statues are made in a very big size measuring more than 30 meters of height. The 37-meter high Kresna Statue is standing strong decorating the artificial cave beneath it which is surrounded by water. Don’t miss the one and only superhero legend in Indonesia, Gatotkaca, in a giant statue form in flying position as though it came from outer space. In front of Gatotkaca, stands Bima or Sena holding the Rujakpolo Club as a guardian. Not far from Bima, stand the archer Arjuna with his soft-hearted look but always on his guard, ready to release the arrow from his bow. From the decoration of the site, it’s visible that the nuance is a mixture of traditional and modern elements. A very good example of a construction that still preserves cultural elements. From the design, visitors are expected to not only spend leisure time in their holiday, but also appreciate the world of Wayang.

Kepulauan Seribu (Thousand Islands)

If you are in Jakarta over a weekend and don't want to spend it trailing around shopping malls, why not consider a short dive or snorkeling trip to the Thousand Islands (Pulau Seribu).

There are several tour operators who can arrange this trip. Prices will include the boat transfer from Ancol marina (fixed schedule) to one of the islands which has a hotel on it (e.g. Putri, Tiger). Food and accommodation are also included in the package. If you wish to dive or snorkelling, that would also be included.

Boats run on fixed schedule, few morning departures from the marina. The return trip will be either in the afternoon (around 2PM)or in the late afternoon (ie. 5PM)

Tawangmangu Waterfall

Karimunjawa Island

Karimunjawa is and island chain stretching in a northwesterly direction 83 km from Jepara. Central Java. This archipelago is a cluster of 27 islands in the java sea. Only seven of the islands are inhabited. The reefs are a mixture of fringing, barrier, and patch with bottom depths ranging from 15 to 40 meters. The name of Karimunjawa is taken from Javanese language 'Kremun kremun saking tanah Jawi' addressed by one of Wali Songo (the Nine Saints who had introduced Islam in Java) to describe how far this mini archipelago from Java, to be exact from Semarang and Jepara. Stands from 27 islands, this mini archipelago became marine national park and it's like a treasure for those who love marine life. Here can be found protected coral reefs (very colorful plateaus and plains in deep and shallow waters), secluded and tranquil white beaches, pelican and hornbill, sea grass and kinds of sea creatures, from crabs, anchovy, starfish, sharks, stingray, jellyfish, red snappers, etc.

Gembira Loka Zoo

This zoo Park is located about 4 Km east of Central Post-Office. Gembira means happy and Loka is place. Hopefully one should be happy by visiting it.

As it is not far away from down town, it is within the reach of andong or becak relax tour. The zoo Park is one of the favorite place in the city visited by mainly domestic tourists (more than 650.000 visitors a year), but there are also some foreign tourists watching closely the famous reptiles Komodos (Varanus Comodoensis), originally live only in Komodo island, nearby Flores.

Solo City

Surakarta or more famous as Solo is lying across in fertile plain terrain along the longest river in Java, Bengawan or River Solo. Surakarta, is the cradle of Javanese culture, with two royal houses in one single city: the Kraton of Solo and the Mangkunegaran, a principality. Descendants of these two royal houses are still considered leaders of Javanese culture and traditions. Majestic ceremonies and royal festivals are still held with great affectation nowadays. Surakarta or Solo (550000 inhabitants) draws its name from the longest river of Java, which passes in this city. It was the capital of the kingdom of Mataram from 1745 to 1755. There are many Becak (rickshaws decorated with naive scenes) croos the city.

Deles Indah

Deles Indah is a natural tourism site located on the eastern side of Mount Merapi, approximately 25 KM from the city of Klaten, Central Java. It is situated on a village named Sidorejom, Kemalang sub-region with an altitude of 800-1300 meters above sea level.

The high altitude of the site makes it a potensial tourism site for beautiful panoramic nature scenary and nuance. From Deles, you can see a clear view of the peak of Mount Merapi, an overall view of Klaten city, and the natural unspoiled countryside. You can reach the peak of Mount Merapi from Deles Indah for a 10-12 hour walk. If you are not certain of the path, you can hire a trekking guide to help you find your way. Be sure to bring enough food and drink for there’s only a few, or no merchants on your way to the top.

Borobudur's garden reopened for tourists

Borobudur temple authorities have allowed visitors to enter the temple's garden area, which falls in Zone II, on Saturday.

“The garden area has been opened, but the temple hasn't,” Iskandar Siregar, Head of Technical Services at the Borobudur Heritage Conservation Office (BKPB), said.

Angklung, Indonesian Native Musical Instrument

Angklung is a musical instrument made out of two bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. The tubes are carved so that they have a resonant pitch when struck. The two tubes are tuned to octaves. The base of the frame is held with one hand while the other hand shakes the instrument rapidly from side to side. This causes a rapidly repeating note to sound. Thus each of three or more angklung performers in an ensemble will play just one note and together complete melodies are produced. Angklung is popular throughout Southeast Asia, but originated from Indonesia and it has been used and played by the Sundanese since the ancient times.

Merapi, Indonesia's Mountain Of Fire

Indonesia's Mount Merapi is the nation's second most active volcano and has great spiritual significance for those living on its fertile slopes.

Merapi, which means "Mountain of Fire", typically has small eruptions every two to three years, and larger ones about once every 10 to 15 years.

Kasunanan Palace Solo

Solo is a major city in central Java, Indonesia. Together with Yogyakarta, these two cities are heirs of the Mataram kingdom which was split in 1755. Solo is the short name for Surakarta. Solo is situated at about 100 kilometers to the South of Semarang and some 60 kilometers east of Yogyakarta. Solo is the twin sister of Yogyakarta and the city looks pretty much the same as Yogyakarta. Solo is not a provincial capital and has hence preserved much of its Javanese character. This also means that Solo is less of a tourist destination than Yogyakarta.
